Description

This polypropylene chamber from TopAir Systems is engineered for the forensic development of latent fingerprints on non-porous surfaces using cyanoacrylate (super glue) fuming. The unit provides a contained, automated environment for this process. Evidence is suspended within the chamber on adjustable hanging rods. An automated cycle controls key parameters, including the operation of a hotplate to vaporize the cyanoacrylate, humidity levels, door locking, an internal circulation fan, and a final purge cycle. A significant feature is its ductless, recirculatory design, which uses an integrated carbon filter to trap cyanoacrylate vapors. This eliminates the need for external ducting, prevents the release of substances into the laboratory atmosphere, and allows for relative portability of the unit. The chamber is offered in several models, identified by catalog numbers SG-060-P through SG-180-P, with interior and exterior dimensions varying accordingly.
