Polypropylene Conventional Fume Hoods

Description

The LabAire Systems LAS-1000 is a line of polypropylene fume hoods designed for handling corrosive substances such as acids and organic solvents. Constructed from rust-resistant polypropylene, these hoods provide a durable alternative to standard metal enclosures in aggressive chemical environments. They function by containing and exhausting airborne contaminants from the workspace. Available in multiple widths, including 36, 48, 60, 72, and 96 inches, with either 24 or 30-inch depths, these bench-top units can be configured for variable or constant air volume operation. Standard features include sealed interior LED lighting, a 30-inch counterbalanced sash made from clear polycarbonate or PVC with Kevlar reinforcement, and a removable rear exhaust baffle. The work surface is polypropylene or epoxy resin, and electrical provisions include standard or GFCI outlets in 110V/60Hz or 220V/50Hz configurations housed in a plastic junction box. A lower airfoil provides work access, and the exhaust connection transitions from rectangular to round. LabAire Systems also offers compatible base cabinets for storage, including standard, vented acid, and flammable material models. Custom sizes and designs are available upon request.
