Description

The PLATEMASTER is a manual 96-channel pipetting device intended for rapid liquid handling in microplate-based assays. It is offered in two primary models: the P20 for volumes ranging from 0.5 to 20 µL, and the P220 for volumes from 2 to 220 µL. By enabling the simultaneous dispensing into an entire 96-well plate, the instrument significantly reduces pipetting steps compared to traditional multichannel pipettes, allowing a full plate to be processed in approximately 10-20 seconds. A 384-well plate can typically be filled in under a minute using four sequential dispensing steps. This approach enhances reproducibility by ensuring all wells in a plate are treated simultaneously, minimizing well-to-well and plate-to-plate variability. The device operates mechanically without programming or external power, functioning with a similar user interface to a standard single-channel pipette. Accessories are available to adapt the system for use with 384-well plates, reagent reservoirs, and temperature-controlled blocks.
