Description

The PlasmaQuant MS System is an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) from Analytik Jena. This instrument is designed to be configurable to meet specific user requirements across various applications. Its analytical core features a quadrupole mass analyzer and a patented 90-degree reflecting ion optics system. Key performance metrics include a sensitivity of up to 1500 million counts per second per part per million (Mcps/ppm) for cerium oxide, with oxide levels maintained below 2%. The system offers a broad linear dynamic range spanning 11 orders of magnitude, capable of measuring signals from 0.1 to 10^10 counts per second entirely in pulse counting mode. Operational benefits include reduced argon gas consumption compared to many conventional systems and a design that supports high sample throughput. It is engineered for consistent, long-term stability even when analyzing complex sample matrices.
