Description

The PHERAstar FSX is a multimode microplate reader from BMG LABTECH designed for high-throughput screening and demanding assay applications. It supports a comprehensive range of detection modes, including absorbance (220-1000 nm), fluorescence intensity, fluorescence polarization (230-900 nm), luminescence (230-750 nm), and time-resolved fluorescence (230-900 nm). Its optical system utilizes filters for wavelength selection. A key feature is its simultaneous dual-emission detection for AlphaPlex assays, which can reduce measurement times by half. The instrument is also equipped with a next-generation TRF laser capable of up to 60 flashes per second to enhance throughput and precision. For automation, it offers improved robotic integration, multi-user control, and MARS data analysis software with features supporting FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. The reader accommodates various plate formats, including high-density plates up to 3456 wells. Available accessories include application-optimized filter modules, a microplate stacker for handling up to 50 plates, and specialized plates for low-volume quantification and instrument validation.
