Description

The PHERAstar FSX from BMG LABTECH is a multimode microplate reader configured for high-throughput screening and advanced assay detection. It supports a wide range of plate formats, including high-density plates up to 3456 wells and low-volume microspots, accommodating various sample types. The optical system provides broad wavelength ranges for measurements: absorbance from 220 to 1000 nm and fluorescence from 230 to 900 nm. Detection is facilitated by a filter-based system with four photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) for simultaneous multi-channel reading. Integrated features include temperature-controlled incubation, orbital shaking, and optional injectors for kinetic assays and reagent addition. This instrument is applied in areas such as protein-protein interaction studies, cell-based assays, and compound screening, offering sensitivity and flexibility for diverse research and drug discovery applications.
