Description

Designed for challenging samples, the PCE-228SLUR is a handheld pH meter built to measure sludge and other viscous materials. It shares the core specifications of the PCE-228 series, including a resolution of 0.001 pH and 0.1°F, a temperature measurement range from 32 to 140°F, and compact dimensions of 7.1 by 2.9 by 1.6 inches. The device performs pH, mV, and temperature measurements and features automatic three-point calibration. Data logging is supported via an SD card for Excel file output or through an optional RS-232 interface for PC connectivity. Temperature compensation occurs automatically with the supplied sensor or can be set manually. While it includes components for standard pH and temperature reading, a dedicated redox electrode must be acquired separately for ORP analysis. This model is particularly useful in environmental monitoring, wastewater treatment, and industrial process control where semi-solid samples are common.
