Description

The Pegasus GC-HRT+ 4D TOF Mass Spectrometer from LECO integrates comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC) with high-resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometry. This configuration is designed to enhance the separation and identification of complex sample mixtures. A key analytical feature is the High Resolution Deconvolution (HRD) software, which assists in distinguishing closely eluting compounds and resolving overlapping mass spectral signals. The instrument utilizes electron ionization and achieves a mass resolution of up to 50,000 FWHM while maintaining an acquisition rate of 200 spectra per second. This combination of high-speed data collection and fine mass resolution aims to support the detection and confident identification of a broad range of analytes within a single analysis.
