Pegasus BT 4D GCxGC Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer

Description

The Pegasus BT 4D from LECO is a benchtop gas chromatograph coupled to a comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography and time-of-flight mass spectrometry system (GCxGC-TOF MS). This instrument integrates a high-performance GCxGC modulation system with a TOF mass analyzer to enhance separation power and sensitivity for analyzing complex samples. It is equipped with two modulation options: a thermal modulation system for maximum sensitivity and a FLUX flow modulation system for added capability over one-dimensional GC. The system is operated by LECO's ChromaTOF® software, which includes features for data processing such as NonTarget Deconvolution® and Target Analyte Find. The instrument incorporates an open-style StayClean® electron ionization source designed to reduce maintenance downtime. The Pegasus BT 4D is aimed at applications requiring detailed compound separation and identification in challenging matrices, such as environmental analysis, petrochemicals, and food safety.
