Description
The PA1000 from Hudson Lab Automation is an automated system for printing and applying barcode labels to microplates. It is designed to handle plates with standard SLAS/ANSI footprints. The system's printer operates at a resolution of 600 dpi and can produce labels containing 1D barcodes, 2D barcodes, and human-readable text. Labels can be applied to any or all four sides of a microplate. For throughput, the PA1000 can process approximately 100 plates per hour when applying a single label. Its capacity is scalable through integration with various plate handling peripherals; it can work with stacks of up to 450 plates using a PlateCrane EX, up to 120 plates with a LabLinx Dual Height StackLink, or up to 300 plates with a LabLinx Turntable. The accompanying software is designed to facilitate setup for both single-plate and batch processing runs.
