Description

The Orbitrap Eclipse Tribrid Mass Spectrometer is a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) system that combines multiple mass analysis technologies. Its primary analyzer is an Orbitrap, offering a resolution range from 7,500 to 500,000 full width at half maximum (FWHM) at m/z 200, with a mass range from 50 to 8000 m/z. The instrument supports high-speed scanning, with capabilities for Orbitrap-based MSn analysis up to 40 Hz and ion trap-based MSn analysis up to 45 Hz. As a tribrid system, it integrates different analyzer types to provide flexibility for complex experimental designs in proteomics, metabolomics, and other discovery research areas. The design focuses on delivering high-confidence data for distinguishing subtle molecular differences.
