Description

The Optima XE Ultracentrifuge is a versatile floor-standing model capable of reaching 100,000 RPM, producing a maximum relative centrifugal force of 802,400 x g. It offers precise temperature control from 0°C to 40°C and features an extended timer function for runs up to 999 hours and 59 minutes. The instrument is built as part of an integrated system where the centrifuge, rotors, and labware are designed and tested together for optimized performance and safety. Notable operational features include a Run Recovery function to resume interrupted separations after a power loss and regenerative braking for reduced energy consumption. Safety is addressed through multiple mechanisms, including a rotor overspeed disc and a Dynamic Rotor Inertia Check (DRIC). The user interface is a 15-inch LCD touchscreen that supports nine languages and is designed for clarity and ease of use, even with gloves. The drive system operates at a low noise level, typically below 51 dBA.
