Optima™ AUC
Manufacturer: Beckman Coulter Life Sciences
SKU: Optima AUC
Description
The Optima AUC is an analytical ultracentrifuge system from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences used for the characterization of macromolecules and particles in solution. It is designed to determine properties such as molecular weight, shape, size, aggregation state, and purity for a variety of samples including proteins, peptides, nanoparticles, polymers, liposomes, and viral vectors. The system operates at speeds up to 60,000 rpm, generating a maximum relative centrifugal force of 290,000 x g. It incorporates both absorbance and interference optics, with the latter offering enhanced vertical pixel resolution for improved data quality. The system can perform multi-wavelength analyses, collecting data at up to 20 discrete wavelengths in a single experiment. Operation is facilitated through a user interface with a touchscreen display, and the system offers remote monitoring capabilities. It maintains compatibility with certain rotors and cells from the previous ProteomeLab XL-I model. The instrument's footprint is 94 cm wide by 84 cm deep by 133 cm high.
