Opentrons Flex PCR Workstation

Description

The Opentrons Flex PCR Workstation automates the setup and execution of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) assays. Centered on the modular Flex robot, this configuration can be tailored with different pipettes and on-deck modules. A key feature is the option to integrate an on-deck Thermocycler Module for complete, end-to-end automation of PCR setup and thermal cycling. Alternatively, the workstation can be used for automated reagent dispensing and plate setup, with thermal cycling performed off-deck. The system handles volumes from 1 µL to 1000 µL and works with 96-well and 384-well plates. Control is available through a bench-top touchscreen, a remote application, or programmable APIs, providing flexibility for laboratories to improve consistency and efficiency in molecular biology workflows.
