Description

The Octet R8e is an eight-channel analytical instrument that utilizes enhanced Biolayer Interferometry (BLI) for label-free, real-time analysis of biomolecular interactions. It is designed for applications including kinetic characterization, concentration quantitation, and assay development for proteins, antibodies, and other biologics. The system operates with sample volumes as low as 40 µL per channel. Key operational features include high-sensitivity detection for low molecular weight analytes, rapid data acquisition to capture fast binding kinetics, and an evaporation control system that enables unattended runs exceeding 16 hours. It is compatible with 384-well microplates for higher throughput. An optional package provides tools and documentation for GxP compliance and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations. The system is supplied by the Sartorius Group and is categorized as an automated biomolecular interaction analyzer.
