Description

NucSpot 594/615 is a DNA-binding fluorescent dye that operates in the deep red region of the light spectrum. With excitation and emission maxima approximately at 594 nm and 615 nm, it is compatible with common microscope filter sets for dyes like Texas Red. Its function is to provide specific nuclear staining in fixed biological specimens, such as cultured cells or tissue sections. The deep red fluorescence offers an advantage for multicolor imaging by providing a spectral window with reduced autofluorescence compared to shorter wavelengths. The product is provided as a 1000X concentrate in DMSO, packaged in a 100 microliter quantity.
