The Nicolet Summit X FTIR Spectrometer is a versatile instrument designed for material characterization across a broad spectral range from 8000 to 350 cm⁻¹, with a resolution capability better than 0.6 cm⁻¹. It is suitable for diverse laboratory environments, from single-user to multi-user facilities. The system utilizes the LightDrive Optical Engine, which aims to enhance data reproducibility by stabilizing the infrared source. It is compatible with various sampling accessories, including attenuated total reflectance (ATR), for analyzing solids, liquids, and gases. Operation is managed through the OMNIC Paradigm Software, which offers a user-friendly interface with tools for creating visual workflows, building spectral libraries, and performing multicomponent searches. The software includes features to support regulatory compliance, such as audit trails and data security packages aligned with standards like 21 CFR Part 11. A 10-year warranty is provided on core optical components. With integrated Wi-Fi, data can be exported to cloud services for remote access and collaboration. This spectrometer is applied in fields including pharmaceuticals, forensics, polymer science, environmental testing, quality assurance, and academic research.
