Description

The Nicolet Summit OA FTIR Spectrometer is a specialized instrument configured for the rapid analysis of viscous and liquid samples, including oils, syrups, and pastes. It incorporates a fixed horizontal attenuated total reflectance (HATR) accessory with a zinc selenide (ZnSe) crystal, which provides a constant, reproducible pathlength suitable for both qualitative identification and quantitative measurements. This integrated design simplifies sample handling by minimizing preparation steps. The spectrometer operates within a spectral range of 6000 to 650 cm⁻¹ and is controlled by the built-in Thermo Scientific OMNIC Paradigm Software, which runs on an integrated Windows computer. The software supports the creation of automated workflows via a drag-and-drop interface to standardize data acquisition and analysis. Instrument reliability is supported by the LightDrive Optical Engine, which features an infrared source designed to reduce spectral variability. A 10-year warranty covers major optical components. The system includes Wi-Fi connectivity for data transfer to cloud platforms, facilitating remote analysis and collaboration.
