Description
The Nicolet RaptIR+ is an FTIR microscope system configured for detailed microanalysis with an emphasis on versatility and speed. It operates over a spectral range of 7,800 to 650 cm⁻¹ and delivers a minimum signal-to-noise ratio of 15,000:1 under specified measurement conditions. The system is distinguished by its user-swappable detectors and configurable design. It features diffraction-limited objectives for high visual and infrared spatial resolution, with IR resolution better than 5 microns. A multi-position automated nosepiece, autofocus, and computer-controlled aperture are standard. Sampling modes include reflectance, transmission, and ATR, with automated exchange between them. The stage can accommodate samples up to 40 mm thick and 5 kg in weight. The system is capable of fast mapping, acquiring up to 10 spectra per second. It is controlled by OMNIC Paradigm software, which provides a guided interface for data collection and analysis, supports workflow automation, and manages the full capabilities of connected spectrometers and accessories like TGA-IR or GC-IR modules. With dimensions of 450 mm wide, 717 mm deep, and 495 mm high, the RaptIR+ is suited for analyzing microsamples across numerous industries, including pharmaceuticals (for API distribution), polymer science, environmental microplastics, forensics, electronics, and geology.
