Description

The Nexis SCD-2030 is a sulfur chemiluminescence detector (SCD) designed for use with gas chromatographs, specifically for the sensitive and selective detection of sulfur-containing compounds. A key design element is its horizontally positioned redox cell, which is intended to provide a sufficient reaction zone and time for stable chemiluminescence generation. This configuration also facilitates maintenance, as the internal pyrolyzer tube can be accessed and replaced without fully disassembling the cell. Shimadzu reports that an ultrashort flow path design contributes to increased sensitivity, potentially improving signal-to-noise ratios.
