Description
The Nexera X3 is a high-pressure Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC) system engineered for demanding, high-throughput analytical environments. It is capable of operating at pressures up to 130 MPa (approximately 19,000 psi), making it suitable for use with columns packed with sub-2-micron particles for high-efficiency separations. The system facilitates rapid analysis, with typical run times around five minutes. It features an ultra-fast injection cycle of seven seconds with minimal carryover. Flow rate capabilities are pressure-dependent: 0.0001 to 3 mL/min at 1.0–130 MPa, 3 to 5 mL/min at 1.0–80 MPa, and 5 to 10 mL/min at 1.0–22 MPa. The system incorporates various automation and intelligence functions, collectively termed Analytical Intelligence. These include features for remote monitoring via web browser or smart device, a touch-panel interface for direct control, and automated system management such as smart flow control, startup, recovery, diagnostics, and mobile phase monitoring. Data processing is aided by tools like i-PeakFinder for automated peak recognition in complex chromatograms and i-PDeA II for peak deconvolution. The system supports a wide range of detectors, including UV, PDA, ELSD, Fluorescence, RID, and Conductivity.
