Description
The NexaFlo™ Segmented Flow Analyzer, manufactured by KPM Analytics, is an automated analytical system for the determination of various chemical parameters in liquid samples. It is designed to handle a wide range of matrices, including seawater, drinking water, wastewater, environmental extracts, soil digests, food, and beverages. The system automates the entire analytical process, incorporating inline sample preparation steps such as distillation, digestion, and extraction, which are managed remotely via computer software. This automation standardizes complex chemistries and increases laboratory throughput. The analyzer is highly modular, allowing configurations with up to 14 independent analytical channels. It supports different detection methods, with a UV/VIS colorimeter as the default; options include flame photometers and fluorimeters. Flow cells with path lengths from 10 mm to 50 mm are available. The associated software is tailored for segmented flow analysis, providing control over all method parameters and supporting various regulatory methods (e.g., EPA, ISO). Instrument features aimed at usability and maintenance include diagnostic tools, an LED status indicator, a manifold leak detector, and, on the NexaFlo 450 model, an integrated color touchscreen for method monitoring. The design facilitates access to internal components for simplified servicing.
