Description

The New Brunswick BioFlo/CelliGen 115 is a benchtop fermentor and bioreactor system designed for flexible use in research and development. It can be configured for microbial fermentation or for the culture of mammalian and animal cells. The system's control station is capable of managing up to three separate vessels simultaneously, which is advantageous for parallel processing in academic, teaching, and industrial R&D laboratories. Process management is handled by sophisticated Reactor Process Controller (RPC) software, which can monitor and adjust up to 32 different parameters. The unit includes three fixed-speed peristaltic pumps that can be assigned to control loops for acid, base, antifoam, or level maintenance. User interaction occurs through a built-in industrial touchscreen display. The system supports eight interchangeable glass vessels, which are autoclavable and come in either single-walled (heat blanket) or double-walled (water-jacketed) designs for temperature control. Available vessel capacities include 1 L, 2 L, 5 L, and 10 L, with a working volume range from 0.4 to 10.5 liters.
