Description

The New Brunswick BioFlo 510 is a compact, sterilize-in-place (SIP) fermentation system intended for pilot-scale and small production applications. It features a modular design with various standard and optional components to adapt to different bioprocess requirements. The system is available with stainless steel vessels offering working volumes from 5.5 liters to 32 liters, featuring a 2:1 aspect ratio and electropolished interiors. Standard equipment includes an integrated load cell for weight monitoring, three fixed-speed peristaltic pumps for media additions, harvest, and pH control, and Rushton-type impellers (with pitched-blade and marine blade options). Process control is managed via an industrial touchscreen interface, with optional software or programmable logic controller (PLC) integration. The unit can be configured as a benchtop system or mounted on a mobile cart.
