nano3DX High-Resolution microCT
Manufacturer: Rigaku Corporation
SKU: nano3DX
Description
The nano3DX from Rigaku Corporation is a high-resolution micro-computed tomography (microCT) system designed for non-destructive 3D imaging. It utilizes a parallel-beam geometry combined with a 1200 W rotating anode X-ray source to achieve true submicron spatial resolution, with a specified voxel resolution as fine as 325 nm. This configuration enhances contrast, particularly for low-density materials that can be challenging to image with conventional divergent-beam systems. The instrument features selectable X-ray anodes (Chromium, Copper, or Molybdenum) to generate pseudo-monochromatic radiation optimized for different sample types and sizes. It is equipped with a high-resolution sCMOS detector. Applications include analysis of composite materials like CFRP and GFRP, foams, pharmaceuticals, porous materials, seeds, and grains for pore structure and internal morphology. The system has a compact footprint, with dimensions of 1300 mm wide by 1880 mm high by 655 mm deep, and a weight of approximately 600 kg, not including peripheral units like a PC, chiller, or vacuum pump. It is capable of rapid data acquisition, with a shortest scan time of 30 seconds.
