The MX400 and MX500 series from LECO are fully automated mounting presses designed for metallographic and materials preparation laboratories. Operation is managed through an intuitive touch-screen interface, which allows users to set and save customized programs for heating, pressure, and cooling cycles. A solid steel crossbar mechanism provides durable, jam-resistant closure for efficient one-handed use. The presses support a wide range of common mold sizes, including 1.25 inch, 1.50 inch, 30 mm, 40 mm, and 50 mm, with the MX500 model facilitating quick changes between them.
