OHAUS Multi-Tube Vortex Mixers are designed for hands-free, high-throughput sample processing in laboratory settings. These mixers utilize interchangeable foam tube racks that can hold tubes with diameters ranging from 10 mm to 29 mm, providing flexibility for various sample formats. The units are powered by a 120 V, 50-60 Hz electrical supply. Two model variants are available: digital models for precise, repeatable speed control and variable-speed analog models as a more economical option. The mixer base is fitted with strong suction cup feet to minimize instrument movement and prevent sliding during operation. With dimensions of 15.1 inches wide, 9.5 inches deep, and 16 inches high, the mixer is suitable for benchtop use. Typical applications include preparing suspensions, performing genotyping assays, and conducting high-throughput DNA and RNA testing in clinical laboratories.
