Manufactured by Verder Scientific, the MTT furnace is engineered for the specialized extraction of Carbon-14 and organically bound Tritium from sample materials. It utilizes a catalyst-assisted combustion process, which provides a dry oxidation method considered an alternative to traditional wet chemistry techniques. This approach aims for complete sample combustion while minimizing the introduction of contaminants that can interfere with subsequent scintillation counting analysis.
