Description

The Morphologi 4 is an automated static image analysis system for determining particle size and shape. It disperses a dry powder sample and uses an optical microscope with brightfield and darkfield illumination to capture high-resolution images of individual particles. The system analyzes these images to report over twenty morphological parameters, such as circularity, elongation, and transparency, for particles within a size range of 0.5 to 1300 micrometers. An integrated dry powder disperser ensures consistent and reproducible sample presentation, which is critical for repeatable results. The software allows for the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to automate the entire measurement process from dispersion to reporting, making it suitable for quality control environments. It also includes advanced data exploration tools and a manual microscope mode for detailed inspection of specific particles. An optional software configuration ensures compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
