Description

The PCE-UX 3031D moisture balance is designed for detailed plaster analysis. It provides simultaneous drying and weighing with a maximum capacity of 220 grams and a resolution of 0.001 grams. Drying is accomplished using two radiant heaters: a 250 W infrared unit and a 375 W quartz heater, which support adjustable temperature ranges from 40–180°C and 105–360°C. Operational modes include timer and automatic shut-off based on configurable weight-loss parameters. The device offers a program memory for 9 drying profiles, a menu lock function, and a 4-digit ID for device identification. A 4-inch LC display presents measurement parameters such as percent moisture, dry matter, and residual weight. For data transfer and documentation, the unit features RS-232 and USB interfaces, with optional software enabling GLP-compliant output. Its applications include gypsum analysis in mining, flue gas desulfurization, and recycling processes.
