Moisture Balances PCE-UX 3031
Manufacturer: PCE Americas Inc.
SKU: PCE-UX 3031
Description
The PCE-UX 3031 is a specialized moisture analyzer engineered for materials like plaster and gypsum. It operates on the thermogravimetric principle, continuously weighing a sample as it is dried. The device has a 220-gram weighing capacity with a resolution of 0.001 grams. It is equipped with two independent heating systems: a 250 W infrared heater and a 375 W quartz heater. These enable two adjustable temperature ranges: 40–180°C and 105–360°C. Drying can be controlled via a timer (1–180 minutes) or an automatic shut-off function triggered by predefined weight-loss criteria. The unit stores up to 9 drying programs, features a 4-inch LC display, and includes a 4-digit device ID for traceability. Data output is facilitated via RS-232 and USB interfaces, with optional PC software available for GLP-compliant documentation. It is suitable for analyzing free moisture, chemically bound water, and water of crystallization.
