Description

The PCE-UX 3081 moisture analyzer is configured for testing light, bulky, or low-density materials. Its primary distinction is a large drying pan with a volume of 360 cm³, accommodating samples up to 400 grams. The balance resolution is 0.001 g. Heating is provided by dual 250 W halogen lamps, with a temperature range from 40°C to 220°C, suitable for materials sensitive to higher heat. The device calculates moisture by tracking mass loss during drying, presenting data such as percent moisture and residual weight. Operational functions include an automatic shut-off based on weight stability, a programmable timer, and a PIN-lockable menu. Nine memory slots are available for saving frequently used drying protocols. Data transfer and documentation are achieved through RS-232 and USB connections; GLP-compliant records can be generated using optional PC software, as the unit does not include an integrated printer. A 4-digit device ID ensures measurement traceability. This analyzer is particularly useful in industries like agriculture for feed analysis, wood processing for chips and shavings, and plastics manufacturing.
