Description

The MM 500 vario is a multipurpose mixer mill capable of processing a wide array of sample formats. It performs dry, wet, and cryogenic grinding at a frequency of 35 Hz, enabling rapid homogenization of powders and suspensions. A key feature is its adaptability, with accessories allowing it to hold various tube types including 1.5ml, 2ml, and 5ml plastic tubes, 2ml steel tubes, four 50ml conical tubes, or four 5ml steel tubes. It can process up to six samples of 20 ml each. Suitable for applications like mechanochemistry and biological cell disruption, it supports grinding durations up to 99 hours. The unit stores eight SOPs and utilizes screw-top jars ranging from 5 to 50 ml, including specialized 10 ml PMMA jars for RAMAN spectroscopy. Its dimensions are 690 mm in width, 585 mm in depth, and 375 mm in height.
