The MIRO CANVAS from INTEGRA Biosciences is a microfluidics-based platform for automating next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation and hybridization protocols. The compact system, measuring 20 x 41 x 18 cm, operates in standard laboratory conditions of 19-25 °C, 20-80% non-condensing humidity, and 78-107 kPa atmospheric pressure. It utilizes disposable MIRO cartridges to precisely handle reagents, which can reduce consumption by up to 75% compared to conventional methods. Designed for walk-away automation, the system requires approximately 15 minutes of hands-on time to initiate a run. It supports established protocols for various NGS applications, including long-read sequencing, target enrichment hybridization, and on-demand sample processing.
