Mini-tau Fluorescence Spectrometer

Description

The Mini-tau from Edinburgh Instruments is a filter-based, compact spectrometer configured for measuring fluorescence lifetimes. It utilizes the Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) method and is capable of determining lifetimes from 25 picoseconds to 50 microseconds. The system is compatible with a range of pulsed light sources, including picosecond pulsed diode lasers (EPL Series, HPL Series) and pulsed LEDs (EPLED Series) covering wavelengths from 375 nm to 980 nm. Detection is handled by a high-speed photomultiplier tube (PMT) detector. This detector features an amplifier and includes interlock and overload protection within a thermoelectrically cooled, fan-assisted housing. The instrument is operated via the included F980 software suite, with data acquisition managed by a USB-connected TCC2 electronics module for measurement and analysis.
