Description

This product is a set of 48 cell culture inserts designed for use in standard 6-well plates. Each insert is constructed from a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) membrane featuring a pore size of 5 micrometers. The hanging design allows the insert to be suspended within the well of a culture plate, creating distinct compartments. This setup is commonly utilized for co-culture experiments, cell migration assays such as invasion or chemotaxis studies, and for establishing air-liquid interface cultures. The porous membrane facilitates the exchange of nutrients and signaling molecules between the upper and lower chambers while providing a surface for cell attachment and growth.
