Description

Millicell Hanging Cell Culture Inserts are permeable supports designed for use in standard multi-well plates. This specific product features a membrane made of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) with a pore size of 0.4 micrometers, formatted for 12-well plates and supplied in a pack of 48 inserts. The hanging design suspends the insert within the well, creating two compartments: an upper chamber for cell culture and a lower chamber for medium. The 0.4 µm pores allow for nutrient and gas exchange while generally preventing the passage of cells. These inserts are used for a variety of cell culture applications, including cell attachment, growth, differentiation, and immunocytochemistry (ICC), particularly where establishing a barrier or co-culture system is required.
