Millicell® ERS 3.0 Digital Voltohmmeter
Manufacturer: Merck KGaA
SKU: MERS03000
Description
The Millicell ERS 3.0 Digital Voltohmmeter is a benchtop instrument for measuring transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER). It is used in applications studying barrier integrity, including research on drug permeability, paracellular transport, wound healing, tissue engineering, and product development in dermatology. The device features an ergonomic, self-standing probe that is placed directly into culture wells, promoting measurement stability. It includes an intuitive touchscreen interface and provides real-time on-instrument data logging for resistance and voltage, with background subtraction capability. The adjustable electrode is compatible with cell culture inserts in 6, 12, 24, or 96-well plate formats. Data can be exported via Ethernet, USB drive, or uploaded to a cloud-based application for further analysis across experiments. The instrument can operate using corded power or a battery pack, allowing for use on the bench or inside a tissue culture hood. It has a built-in sensor to measure and record media temperature. The measurement range for resistance is 0 to 100 kΩ, with a resolution of 1 Ω.
