Description

This Millicell® insert is intended for use in 6-well culture plates and features a 30 mm diameter growth area. The membrane is made from hydrophilic polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with a uniform pore size of 0.4 µm. The hydrophilic surface treatment promotes cell attachment and growth, while the PTFE material is noted for low protein binding and optical clarity, making it suitable for fluorescence microscopy and other imaging techniques. These characteristics facilitate applications involving co-culture, cell migration, invasion assays, and the study of cell differentiation where minimal interference from the membrane is desired. The product is supplied in a pack of 50 inserts.
