Description

This Millicell® cell culture insert is designed for use in standard 24-well plates. It features a 12 mm diameter growth area with a thin, transparent polycarbonate membrane that has a pore size of 0.4 micrometers. The membrane supports the attachment and growth of adherent cell types, creating a barrier that allows for the study of cell differentiation, cellular communication, and molecular transport between compartments. These inserts are commonly used for permeability assays, such as modeling drug absorption or barrier function, where cells are cultured on the membrane and the movement of compounds across it is measured. The product is supplied in a pack of 50 inserts.
