Description
The MiLabs U-OI is a benchtop optical imaging system for preclinical in-vivo research, offering high-sensitivity detection across a broad wavelength spectrum from 350 to 1000 nm. This versatility supports imaging modalities including bioluminescence, fluorescence, and Cherenkov luminescence. The standalone system is capable of high-throughput imaging, accommodating up to ten animals simultaneously. It utilizes a halogen lamp for standard 2D fluorescence imaging and incorporates a laser source for advanced 3D and 4D fluorescence lifetime tomography (FLT) applications. A significant feature is its modular design, allowing it to be seamlessly integrated in-line with a computed tomography (CT) system. This OI/CT configuration enables anatomical co-registration and provides quantitative 3D/4D tomographic data for imaging deeper tissues and organs. Furthermore, the platform is designed to be upgradeable with positron emission tomography (PET) or single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) modalities at a later stage, facilitating translational research from optical to nuclear imaging techniques.
