Description

The Micromeritics AccuPyc is a gas displacement pycnometer designed for measuring the true, or skeletal, density of solid materials. It functions by precisely measuring the volume of an inert gas displaced by a solid sample within a calibrated chamber. This method provides highly accurate and repeatable density data without requiring the sample to be soluble or altered. The instrument features a temperature-stabilized system (TS) at 20°C ± 0.025°C and an automatic temperature control (ATC) range from 4°C to 60°C ± 0.025°C. It offers a volume measurement accuracy of 0.02% and a repeatability of 0.01%. This analytical tool is commonly used for characterizing materials such as battery components, pharmaceutical powders, and metal powders where precise density is a critical quality parameter.
