Description

The Micromeritics 3Flex, manufactured by Malvern Panalytical, is a high-performance gas adsorption analyzer for characterizing porous materials. Its primary measurements include surface area, pore size distribution, and pore volume, with applications for microporous (less than 2 nm) and mesoporous (2-50 nm) materials. The instrument can analyze materials such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), zeolites, carbon adsorbents, catalysts, and pharmaceuticals. It features precise temperature control, maintaining a thermal stability of 45°C ± 0.05°C using three strategically placed RTD sensors. The system is configured to handle up to three different gases concurrently, with one dedicated probe gas per analysis port. It supports both physisorption and optional chemisorption techniques for comprehensive surface characterization.
