Description

The Microfuge 20 from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is a non-refrigerated microcentrifuge offering enhanced speed and capacity. It achieves a maximum rotational speed of 15,000 rpm, corresponding to a centrifugal force of 20,627 x g. This model is intended for ambient temperature operation within a range of 5°C to 40°C. It can process a variety of sample types, including those used in nucleic acid preparation, protein purification, and the sedimentation of cellular debris. The system supports multiple rotor options, with a maximum tube capacity of 36 samples at 1.5/2.0 mL each, totaling 48 mL. User-defined protocols can be stored for efficiency, and the interface displays both set speed and calculated RCF. An optional BioCertified rotor is available for processing biohazardous materials.
