Description
The PCE-228M is a portable pH meter specifically configured for measuring the acidity of food products, such as meat, sausage, and cheese, as well as cosmetic and creamy media. It provides a high-resolution pH reading of 0.001 and measures temperature from 32 to 140°F with a resolution of 0.1°F. The device features a large LCD that simultaneously displays both values. Data can be stored internally on an SD card in an Excel-compatible format or transmitted in real-time to a computer via an RS-232 interface using optional software and cables. Temperature compensation is performed either automatically via the integrated stainless steel temperature sensor or manually. The meter performs an automatic three-point calibration and is powered by six included 1.5V batteries, making it suitable for field use or occasional laboratory measurements. Its compact dimensions are 7.1 by 2.9 by 1.6 inches.
