Positioned as a mid-tier instrument, the Mastersizer 3000+ Pro performs particle size analysis via laser diffraction. Its measurement range spans from 0.1 to 1000 micrometers. The system utilizes a 4 mW helium-neon laser at 632.8 nm and a log-spaced detector array. It is compatible with a variety of sample types, including suspensions, emulsions, and powders. Compared to the Lab version, the Pro model includes more advanced software features within the Mastersizer Xplorer platform, such as tools for automated measurement setup and method development. It also offers the flexibility to use both manual and automated dispersion accessories. An integrated Smart Manager feature provides system health monitoring. This configuration can be upgraded to the Ultra model if a wider size range is later required.
