Mastercycler® X50 PCR Cycler

Description

The Mastercycler X50 is a thermal cycler designed for PCR applications in molecular biology. It features a temperature range from 4 °C to 99 °C and supports interchangeable blocks for 96- and 384-well formats. A key function is its 2D-Gradient capability, which allows for advanced optimization of PCR protocols across the block. The instrument employs a heated lid with an automatic height adjustment system, known as the Flexlid concept, to accommodate various tube and plate types. Temperature regulation is designed for consistent performance, and the unit can achieve heating rates up to 10 °C per second. Operation is managed through a touch screen interface. For expanded throughput, up to ten units can be linked together, with one master unit controlling the others. The device has exterior dimensions of 27.5 cm in width, 43 cm in depth, and 33 cm in height. It is supplied with a standard two-year warranty.
