Description
The Mastercycler nexus series from Eppendorf North America is a line of thermal cyclers for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) applications. The instrument provides a broad temperature range from 4°C to 99°C and includes a heated lid with a temperature range of 37°C to 110°C to prevent condensation in tube and plate formats. It offers gradient functionality for optimizing annealing temperatures across different samples in a single run. The nexus is designed for flexible sample formatting, with a block capable of holding a standard 96-well PCR plate, up to 96 individual 0.2 mL tubes, strips of 0.2 mL tubes, or a maximum of 71 tubes of 0.5 mL capacity. The unit operates with a low noise emission of under 40 dB(A) and is engineered for energy-efficient performance in laboratory environments.
