Description

The LM-FERRO-PRO is a digital gauss and tesla meter used for measuring magnetic fields and determining the relative magnetic permeability of materials. It operates with external axial and transverse probes to measure DC, AC, and pulsed magnetic fields across a range of 0 to 40,000 amperes per centimeter, with switchable units to gauss or tesla. The device is designed to provide high-precision, reproducible readings, even at low field strengths, by internally digitizing Hall-sensor signals to minimize interference. It features a graphical LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 320 by 480 pixels for user interaction. Data management includes storage for up to 10,000 values, peak value measurement, and combined digital and analog display. Connectivity options include a wireless interface and USB-C for data transfer to Windows PCs or mobile apps, and for connection to an external power source during continuous operation. A calibration standard with a permeability value of approximately 1.35 is supplied for accuracy verification. Primary applications involve non-destructive material testing, quality control of stainless steels, and material selection for equipment in electron physics and related fields.
