Description

The LUNA-FL™ is an automated cell counter that utilizes both fluorescence and brightfield imaging for cell analysis. This dual-mode capability allows for more specific cell identification and viability assessment, particularly when using fluorescent dyes like trypan blue alternatives. The instrument is designed for rapid analysis, completing a brightfield count in approximately 10 seconds and a fluorescence-based count in about 30 seconds. It is capable of analyzing cells within a broad size range of 1 to 90 micrometers in diameter, with optimal performance for cells measuring between 5 and 60 micrometers. This makes it suitable for a variety of cell types, from small bacteria to larger mammalian cells.
